Over 52,000 people have visited the ORCID Website, and the demographics have been changing. In October, the UK followed the US. In November, it was Italy, and by early December it had changed to Spain. The latter was likely driven by Italy and Spain announcing upcoming national research evaluations. Recently, the number of visitors from China has increased. This week, the top-10 visitor countries are the United States, China, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, and Australia.
ORCID also has a growing member base, with 25 organizations on board at the end of 2012. Member organizations include universities and research institutes, professional societies, publishers, funders, and third-party platform developers. For a full list, see our member page. We expect to see many more integrations launch in the first half of 2013.
