Webhooks allow premium members to ‘watch’ ORCID records and be notified of any changes.
Using the API and premium member client credentials, premium members can register a callback URL for each authenticated ORCID iD that they wish to track. The ORCID record holder does not have to grant the organisation specific permission to register the URL but the actual data exchange is based on privacy levels set by the ORCID iD holder.
With this in place ORCID will notify that specified URL by sending a request when there are changes to the ORCID record.
