Demonstrating the value of your organization’s ORCID integration just got a lot simpler! We are delighted to announce the launch of some long-awaited improvements to member reporting. ORCID Member Reports are now on-demand and contain insightful data about how integrations are being used, such as how many researchers have connected their iDs to an integration, and how many records have been updated via the integration.
The new Member Reports are now available to all members, and over the next few months, they will replace reports previously shared only monthly via a link in the member newsletter.
Two reports for two levels of insights
Improved member reporting is part of our suite of new member-only tools (such as the Affiliation Manager) accessible via the ORCID Member Portal. ORCID members now have on-demand access to two reports that offer insightful data about both members and integrations:
- The Member Report: high level overview of how your organization’s integrations are performing as a whole. The report includes impact, records updated, email domain, web usages and geography of connected iDs.
- The Integration Report: shows similar statistics as the Member Report but at integration level.
Our member reporting integration guide provides a detailed overview of each section of the reports.
How do I access these new reports?
Member and integration reports are now available via our new member-only tool, the ORCID Member Portal. All main contacts for each member organization should now have received an invite to activate their member portal account. Once your account has been activated, additional staff members who need access to the portal may be added. If required, you can transfer this responsibility to another staff member. Please see our Member Portal Account Management guide for more information.
If you are an active member and do not have access to the portal then please let us know.
How long will I be able to access legacy reports?
We will continue to generate legacy reports for the next three months alongside new reports. Access to legacy reports will cease at the end of 2021 so we would recommend that you download any data you need from these reports before the end of the year.
Can I provide feedback?
As always we love to hear feedback from our community. If you would like to request any additional stats to be added to the new reports or if you notice any issues please let us know.
