ORCID for Consortia: Consortium Lead Organization Agreement

This is the ORCID consortium member license agreement.

This is the ORCID consortium member license agreement. To be eligible for this agreement, the consortium must include at least 5* non-profit and/or governmental organizations. The lead organization has the option to be a member or to act as a non-member administrator of the agreement.

ORCID is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization and our sustainability is reliant on operating within the scope of our business model and standard membership agreements. We can only consider limited changes in instances where it is legally impossible for a potential Lead Organization to sign the agreement. Our fees are based on the assumption that we will not have to incur legal fees or significant staff time in negotiating individual agreements. We simply do not have the capacity or budget to do so without raising ORCID’s prices significantly.
