Preparations are now under way for not one, but two exciting events in the persistent identifier world – our next Outreach Meeting in October, and the first-ever PIDapalooza in November.
ORCID Outreach Meeting – register now!
We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for our next Outreach Meeting will be held at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) offices in Washington, DC on Wednesday, October 5.
The theme of the meeting is Research without Borders and we are working with a great Program Committee to develop an agenda that includes a mix of informal discussions, lightning talks and demos of ORCID integrations, plenaries, and more.

PIDapalooza – save the date!
We’re also thrilled to announce that, together with The California Digital Library, Crossref, and DataCite, we are organizing PIDapalooza, a two-day festival for scholarly research persistent identifiers (PIDs) on November 9-10 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
This community gathering of digital tech experts, publishers, researchers, tool builders, research organizations, and scholarly infrastructure providers will include a mixture of PID demos, workshops, brainstorming, and updates on the state of the art.
