At ORCID, we believe that the global challenge of upholding research integrity is one that requires community-driven solutions. Join us for this provocative webinar series where we invite thought leaders and experts in research, cyber security, and more to share their insights about trends and emerging solutions.
The growing prevalence of fraudulent research papers poses a serious threat to the credibility of scholarly communication, placing undue strain on editors, reviewers, and publishers. In response, the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishers (STM) has introduced the Researcher Identity Trust Framework—a pioneering initiative designed to strengthen editorial workflows and uphold the integrity of research.
In this session, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the framework’s key components and how it can help publishers and other stakeholders verify researcher identities and mitigate misconduct.
Though we face significant challenges to uphold research integrity, we remain optimistic that by working together, our community can make meaningful and lasting progress towards a world where all who participate in research, scholarship, and innovation are uniquely — and reliably — identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines, borders, and time.
