Like much of the world, we are shocked and saddened by the events unfolding in Ukraine. Our thoughts go out to our colleagues in the ORCID community and to all of the people and who are affected, either directly or indirectly.
ORCID operates according to the values of openness, transparency and inclusivity, and we firmly believe that enabling research collaboration across the world can be a powerful driver for peace. ORCID will continue to keep the researcher at the center of all we do, and we plan to continue making the ORCID iD and registry freely available to researchers everywhere in the hopes of fostering connections that promote dialogue and understanding.
We will continue to monitor the situation and look for ways in which we can further support researchers and research institutions in Ukraine.
