On May 19-22, ORCID and LYRASIS, the ORCID US Community consortium lead organization, co-hosted a consortia workshop in Atlanta, Georgia. The workshop was held at the Georgia State University Knowles Conference Center in Atlanta, with the purpose of sharing experiences and building community among ORCID consortia.
Consortia are essential to the ORCID mission. They provide regional context to the adoption of open research and the capacity to implement ORCID on a global scale. The purpose of this workshop is to build community, to share experiences and encourage collaboration, and ultimately – through effective use of ORCID – to improve how research information is shared.
Slides from the event can be found here: https://doi.org/10.23640/07243.c.4520606.v5. The ORCID “Understanding Connections” resource document can be found here.
